Stephen Williams MP visits new Redland school site5.28.43pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 11th May 2007
MP for Bristol West Stephen Williams has taken a tour of the site of the new Redland Green School. The School was opened in September 2006 at a temporary site on Fairlawn Road. The new school building is due to open in the coming months, in anticipation of the start of the new school year in September. The new buildings include the latest educational and recreation equipment, including a state of the art football pitch and a comprehensive learning needs department for children with severe disabilities. Commenting on the visit, Stephen Williams MP said: "North Bristol has been in need of a new state school for many, many years, and it is a joy at long last to see the new site coming together. The new buildings and the school itself are innovative and will provide a great learning environment for all the students. This is a school of which we should be truly proud."
