News broke today that all 4 Post Offices in Bristol West are going to close. The branches in Wellington Hill West, Derby Road, Alma Vale and Redcliffe had been placed on a "Consultation" list by the Post Office. Today's news comes as a major blow to local residents, many of whom had signed petitions in attempt to save their local branch.

On hearing the news Stephen Williams MP for Bristol West said, "I've always felt the Post Office was just going through the motions of being seen to consult, but in fact the decisions had already been made. This process has been a sham."
