Stephen Williams - working hard for Bristol West

Williams talks to school children about climate change

6.17.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Sat 24th Oct 2009

Bristol West MP Stephen Williams gave a talk to and answered questions at Oxfam's Schools Climate Change Awareness event. The all-day event at Broadmead Baptist Church drew pupils from schools across Bristol and the West Country. Stephen said:

"Every time I meet school children I am pleased to learn myself about how well informed they are about the threat of climate change and how keen they are to help us all build a more sustainable future."

Stephen also met Bristol West constituents at Oxfam and Christian Aid's Climate Countdown event at Millennium Square. During a wet and blustery afternoon he listened to constituents' views and concerns about the environment, with many signing his 10:10 campaign petition. The petition calls on public bodies, including the House of Commons itself, to sign up to the 10:10 campaign.
